Monologue and Audition Coaching

I have worked as a monologue and acting coach for the past five years, helping actors to find pieces that suit their personalities, showcase their talent, and book their next job. I also work with audition sides to help actors figure out motivation, determine character objectives, and make strong and memorable choices. The actors I work with go into every audition feeling confident, prepared, and excited. I specialize in both contemporary and classical text work, as well as movement techniques. Each session will be tailored to your needs and the specific audition environment. Testimonials:

“Lillian was a wonderful coach for grad school audition preparation. She has a knack for helping you understand what you are saying and why you are saying what you are saying; in other words, she is a BEAST at specificity and getting you to make solid choices. And the woman knows her Shakespeare.” - Calvin Smith (Matriculated: The Juilliard School. Alternate: NYU. Callback: Yale School of Drama)

“I trust Lillian to give me constructive criticism that fosters honest work. She has a keen eye for authenticity and specificity.” - Zoe Sophia Garcia (“Nora” in Another Word for Beauty by Jose Rivera, directed by Steve Cosson at The Goodman, Chicago)

“Lillian has a rare quality of being able to meet you where you are in your process and speak your language. Her artistic instincts and deep understanding of the work of the actor means she has an uncanny eye for spotting what you need – even when you yourself don’t.” – Emily Daly

Lillian has a keen eye and a natural instinct for poetic truth. She doesn’t give any BS, will make you better, and is also a ferocious joy.” - Lisa Dring

“Lillian is smart, insightful, and detail-oriented. She will leave no stone unturned in figuring out the mechanics of a scene. I know that every time I work with her, I will walk away with a different and better understanding of the material I’m working on.” - Sean Mellott

“After working with Lillian, you are guaranteed to have a richer understanding of your work. You will not only feel prepared in the audition room to give a fully realized performance, but also have an intelligent working knowledge of the script.” - Maggie Raymond
